Sweet Dalia

  • ½ cup Dalia (Broken Wheat)
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • ½ cup Mawana Premium Crystal Sugar
  • 2 cups Water
  • ½ teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 8 Almonds


  1. Heat ghee in a cooker and add dalia to it. Keep stirring as you roast the dalia in ghee till it turns golden brown in color.
  2. Now pressure cook dalia by adding 1.5 to 2 cups of water to it. Let it cook on a medium flame for 6-7 whistles.
  3. Remove the cooker lid when the pressure settles down. Now add milk to the cooked dalia and let it simmer till the mix becomes thick.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom powder and let it simmer for a couple of more minutes.
  5. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve hot.
